Who We Are
People often ask us where the name Marlyn came from. When my grandfather, Frank, first started out, he had a business partner whose wife’s name was Martha. My grandmother’s name was Evelyn. By blending the “Mar” from Martha and the “Lyn” from Evelyn, they created the name Marlyn.
From the very beginning, my grandfather built Marlyn Jewelers on two simple promises: to treat every customer with genuine care and to offer jewelry of lasting quality. Those values remain at the heart of everything we do today.
When my dad, Ron, joined Marlyn Jewelers in the 1970s, he recognized how important it was to offer jewelry repair alongside sales in order to truly serve our customers. He attended jewelry repair school and went on to graduate from the Gemological Institute of America in diamond and gemstone grading.
Today, we continue his commitment by offering the same level of care and quality in our repairs that my grandfather built the business on. We now have three jewelers in-house with nearly 100 years of combined experience. That depth of knowledge not only shapes the way we repair jewelry but also the way we design and select the pieces we carry.
Every repair teaches us something about what stands the test of time—and what doesn’t. We apply that knowledge when creating custom jewelry, carefully considering settings, metal durability, and even the stone shapes that hold up best over a lifetime of wear. With this insight, we craft and select jewelry designed to last for generations, giving you pieces as enduring as the memories they represent.
I joined the Marlyn Jewelers team in 2010 with the hope of continuing the tradition of superior customer service and quality jewelry that our name has represented for generations. From the beginning, my goal has been to carry forward the values my grandfather and father built this business on while also finding new ways to set us apart.
